2023 Legislative Wrap-Up Luncheon

Held in Las Vegas after the close of Nevada’s 82nd Legislative Session, NCA’s 2023 Nevada Legislative Wrap-Up Reception gathered NCA members and other industry stakeholders for a review of the bills passed in Nevada’s 82nd Legislative Session and their impact on the cannabis industry.

The NCA was happy to welcome Nevada State Senator Rochelle Nguyen as a speaker as well as special guests including Nevada State Assemblywoman Danielle Gallant as well as representatives from the offices of Senator Catherine Cortez Masto and Senator Jacky Rosen.

2021 Northern Nevada Legislative Wrap-Up Reception

Held in Reno after the close of Nevada’s 81st Legislative Session, the 2021 Northern Nevada Legislative Wrap-Up Reception gathered NDA members, Nevada legislators, and industry stakeholders in Northern Nevada.

The reception hosted Cannabis Compliance Board Executive Director Tyler Klimas, Assemblywoman Sarah Peters, and Senator James Settelmeyer, who joined us to discuss cannabis-related legislation and its impact on the industry.

2021 Legislative Wrap-Up Luncheon

The NDA’s 2021 Legislative Wrap-Up Luncheon welcomed NDA members, sponsors, and guests for an end of session talk hosted by NDA Executive Director Layke Martin with speakers (from left to right) Assemblyman Tom Roberts, Assemblyman C.H. Miller, Cannabis Compliance Board Executive Director Tyler Klimas and Assemblyman Steve Yeager.

The discussion and Q&A reviewed the biggest cannabis-related bills heard in the 81st Legislative Session, including proactive and other priority legislation impacting Nevada’s cannabis industry.

2019 Cannabis Industry Award Luncheon

At the 2019 Industry Award Luncheon hosted by NDA, licensees, elected officials, NDA members, and other stakeholders came together to celebrate the contributions of industry leaders, including former Nevada State Senator Yvanna Cancela.

The NDA also circulated the 2019 Charitable Contributions Report and formally announced the formation of the Nevada Can Committee, a political action committee which will assume the duties and responsibilities relating to political fundraising and campaign contributions that NDA currently performs.

Boyd School of Law professor Francine Lipman; Department of Taxation Executive Director William Anderson; and retired Henderson Police Department captain James Green, among others, spoke at this event organized by NDA.

Speakers reviewed the regulatory climate, pricing alongside an illegal market, security, and more.

2018 Marijuana Economic & fiscal benefit analysis

Prepared by RCG Economics on behalf of the Nevada Dispensary Association, the 2018 Marijuana Economic & Fiscal Benefit Analysis presentation event followed months of data collection and was presented to state representatives, press, and industry leaders.

The presentation highlighted the report, which reviewed the economic impact of the cannabis industry on Nevada, including employment numbers, tax revenue, and projected sales.
